Solano Stroll!!

On Sunday morning, I woke up pretty early and cleaned the apartment for a while. I text messaged Pam, and when she woke up, we decided to make breakfast together. I drove over to her house to pick her up and on the way home, we stopped at a grocery store to pick up some nice thick cut bacon. At the cooking class we took a while ago, the chef made some great bacon covered with maple syrup, so we went home to make some delicious scrambled eggs with maple syrup covered bacon. On the way home, we stopped at Guerrilla Cafe to pick up some blue bottle coffee beans, which made a fantastic coffee using the french press Whitney gave me for my birthday. Breakfast was so good; I always focus on waffles, pancakes, meuseli or oatmeal...so it was nice to have bacon and eggs after so long without.

After breakfast, we headed over to the Solano Stroll, which is a street fair with lots of arts and crafts booths. Street fairs are one of my favorite things. Last year, Tim and I were walking the dog to the fish store and we chanced upon the Solano Stroll. When I saw the signs around town, I knew I wanted to go. Last year, it was a lot of fun, but this year, it was a treasure trove of really unique things! We found some really cute skirts for really cheap, and I found a really nice canvas purse/tote bag! I will have to take a photograph of it; the fabric is really nice, and it is so me. I was very happy with the find. I have also been searching everywhere for weeks for a journal, and I haven't found any that I liked. Naturally, a stand at the Solano Stroll was selling really interesting journals; the covers were made from old library books. I got one with a geometric design on the cover, and was very pleased. I also found a few awesome shirts, and snapped them up.

After the Solano Stroll, Pam and I wandered around 4th street for a while. We went to grocery outlet, and I found some great bread crumbs for really cheap. They are parmesan flavored, which I've never seen before, but am excited to try. I really like grocery outlet because you never know what you're going to find. Around 6p, I realized that it was really late, and Navi was really tired. I headed home, and worked on a few cards for a while until I fell asleep.
