It didn't seem like we were off to a good start though, because I got to the beach and threw a tennis ball in the water and all Navi did was stare at it. Then she went and dug a hole in the sand. I found another tennis ball and threw that one, but she showed no interest. I tried a log, and she wasn't having any of that, either. We decided to give up, and walk around the peninsula instead. Pam and I walked to the concrete castle, which is one of my favorite places on the island. The sky was really blue, and the clouds were both white and grey, so we had fun taking a few photos!

I just want to say, Dad, you're lucky I love you, because I have a really hard time putting photos of myself up on here! :) After we took a bunch of photos, I didn't want Navi to jump off the roof because there was a lot of broken glass. So I picked her up, and put her down myself.
She didn't really care. In fact, she seemed kind of comfortable. It was so odd. Of course, after I put her down, I realized there was a staircase hidden inside the tower. I knew that...I just forgot, I guess. After playing on the concrete tower, we went to walk around the still pond. There were two pelicans watching the water from above and periodically smashing into the water after food. Navi kept running up ahead, then climbing the rocks to peer behind and see if we were coming.
Then we wandered into the area with statues and sculptures. Most of them are unchanged, but I did find this little fairy hiding away in a tree that I have never seen before.

Great pictures - are you sure Navi can't make the trip out to CT for Christmas? :) I miss her!!!
