For Thanksgiving, I went to Britt and Gabe's for a gathering. Britt asked me to come early to help her with the cooking, but when I arrived, she didn't need me for anything. I decided to take Navi and one of her dogs for a walk instead. I found some really interesting graffiti on the walk.
After a long walk, the dogs and I headed back to Britt's. The day was spent mingling, cooking, walking the dogs more, and eating. Andrew was playing with my camera, and got a cute photo of Britt and Fripp.
For this Thanksgiving, I made garlic mashed potatoes, a pumpkin cheesecake for dessert on Britt's request, and an apple crumb coffee cake to snack on during the day. Between dinner and dessert, a bunch of us went to walk the dogs to Ohlone Park. We let them run around for a while, and chased them! Fripp is really fast, and it is really fun to chase after him and Navi. After a while, we all headed back and had some dessert. I'm not a big fan of cheesecake, but I thought the pumpkin cheesecake that I made was pretty good. It was from a cookbook my mom sent me for my birthday, so I was eager to try the recipe and see how it was! I really liked the apple crumb coffee cake that I made, and would definitely make it again. Yum!
